The Homoaudiovideograph is a science fiction radio play by Reinhard Eichelbeck . It was produced by Saarländischer Rundfunk in 1971 and was named the best radio play of the year by the European Broadcasting Union in 1975 .

The short radio play is about a machine that can do everything that humans can - and even better. It is the sum of all technical possibilities in perfection. The only disadvantage: it feeds on people. The message of this story, to put it in one sentence: Technology is eating people up.
