The raven Ralf is a Berlin environmental magazine and the only environmental policy periodical in the capital. In the GDR Wendezeit founded non-profit - magazine is from the East German environmental network Green League issued, but sees itself as linked across .

The title is taken from the poem Der Rabe Ralf from the gallows songs by Christian Morgenstern .

The editorial team is also the place of work for the Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ) in Berlin.

Content

All aspects of environmental protection such as nature conservation , environmental policy, agriculture , urban and regional development as well as economic and social alternatives are dealt with , mostly from the perspective of the environmental movement . There are also book reviews , cooking recipes, dates and addresses.

In 2005 Der Rabe Ralf made public that the namesake of the Berlin Nature Conservation Prize, Victor Wendland, was a high- ranking Nazi official who had prevented the rehabilitation of the important Jewish conservationists Max Hilzheimer and Benno Wolf after the war . In 2007 the prize was renamed.

Appearance and distribution

The paper appears six times a year and is for the most part displayed free of charge in libraries, natural goods and environmental stores, cultural and educational institutions, neighborhood centers and cafes in Berlin and the surrounding area, and a smaller part is sent by subscription . The expenditure from the Internet as PDF downloaded are many longer texts are available online.
