The Wehrmann für Stadt und Land was a newspaper published in Hanover during the revolution of 1848 .

It appeared after an overview of the Hannoversche daily newspapers of the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Library in 1848 with the issues “V – XII.” The newspaper appeared from May 23 to December 30, 1848. It defined itself as “a citizen and peasant newspaper. “The paper was evidently based on moderate liberalism. As a citizen, he mainly viewed the middle class. Only he is able to assert "with his healthy sense the natural distinction between questions of the bourgeois order and objects of politics".
