Deranged is a death metal or deathgrind band from Sweden which was dissolved in 2008 and re-established in 2009.

The band has made it their business to play their music as brutally and extreme as possible. Their style is based on American death metal. The name Deranged goes back to the film of the same name Deranged , which deals thematically with the serial killer Ed Gein .

history

The band was formed in 1991. The first 7 "EP ... The Confessions Continues was indexed by the BPjM . After several demos and EPs, Deranged received a contract with the Spanish label Repulse Records . The band then switched to Regain Records , the label of the then singer Per Gyllenbäck. after the departure of Gyllenbäck and dissatisfaction about the work of that time still very small labels, Deranged moved to Listenable Records . There, the concept album was Plainfield Cemetery published, which deals with the exploits of serial killer Ed Gein is concerned. Since 2007 is the band again under contract with the now strongly grown Regain Records label.

Some band members founded the Murder Corporation and Killaman projects .
