Repulse Records was a Spanish music label that focused primarily on the release of death metal .

history

The label was founded by Dave Rotten (active in music bands Avulsed and Christ Denied , among others ) in 1991. He had previously managed the music label Drowned Productions and now wanted to become independent with the label. When the label started, the death metal boom was at its peak.

At times, Repulse Records had three branches:

Repulse America was directed by Jacoby Kinsgston and Erik Lindmark, who were signed to Repulse Records with their band Deeds of Flesh . The two later founded the record label Unique Leader Records .

Business no longer went well due to bad investments in the late 1990s. The work had to be finally stopped in 2002 due to financial problems. Dave Rotten founded the Xtreem Music label together with his band colleague Toni .
