Inbreeding the Anthropophagi is the second album by the death metal band Deeds of Flesh .

background

In contrast to the previous album, the music has become more independent. The new material was mostly positively received by the fans. Jon Zig could be engaged to design the cover. Matty Way from Disgorge acted as guest singer .

With Brad Palmer a new drummer joined the band. Joey Heaslet left the band to focus on his professional career. The album is the last that the band released via Repulse Records , after which Erik Lindmark and Jacoby Kingston founded the label Unique Leader Records .

Text content

The texts deal with a historical case of cannibalism , in which it has not yet been clarified whether this case corresponds to reality. An entire family clan (parents, children and grandchildren) is said to have eaten over 1000 people in Scotland in the Middle Ages (15th century). Alexander "Sawney" Bean was the head of the family. He is said to have been executed along with the rest of his family.
