Listenable Records is a French extreme metal label that was founded in Wimereux by Laurent Merle. The main focus is on death , black and thrash metal .

history

The label was founded in the early 1990s by then student Laurent Merle, who worked as a fanzine author from 1987 . He wanted to release limited singles and to make bands like Ritual Sacrifice , Immolation , Simdrome , Blasphemy , Repulsion or Dead Conspiracy , which up to now could only be heard on demos, better known. Merle, still a student at the time, saved some money and released the first 7-inch sound carrier. Since then, the label has grown and gained international sales partners. Successful bands like Immolation, Deranged , Soilwork and Aborted released albums on this label. Gojira in particular was able to achieve unusual sales successes in France for a band in the extreme metal genre .
