Hate is a Polish black and death metal band from Warsaw that was formed in 1990.

history

The band was founded in 1990 in Warsaw, Poland by guitarist and singer Adam The First Sinner, guitarist Andrzej "Quack" Kułakowski and drummer Piotr "Mittloff" Kozieradzki. Between 1990 and 1995 they recorded a total of three demos: Abhorrence (1992), Evil Art (1994) and The Unwritten Law (1995). In 1996 the band signed their first contract with the label. Novum Vox Mortiis . With this label the band released their first two albums with Daemon Qui Fecit Terram (1996) and Lord is Avenger (1998).

In 1999 the band released the EP Victims on the Polish label Metal Mind Productions and had appearances with the band Immolation , whereupon the US label Dwell Records became aware of the band. Through its inclusion of Hates Cover of Postmortem in the compilation Gateway To Hell: (Vol. 2) Tribute To Slayer , the band reached a deal with World War III / Mercenary Music , a compilation of the album " Lord Is Avenger and EP Victims under named Holy Dead Trinity in 2001.

In 2002 the album Cain's Way was released on World War III / Mercenary Music in the USA and on Blackend Records in Europe . However, the album was only released in Europe a few months later. During the release in Europe, the line-up of the band changed dramatically: guitarist Ralph and drummer Kozieradzki were replaced by Piotr "Kaos" Jeziorski and Dariusz "Hellrizer" Zaborowski.

In 2003 the album Awakening of the Liar was released on Listenable Records in Europe and on Mercenary Music in the USA. In 2010 the album Erebos was released on Listenable Records. On February 1, 2013, the current album Solarflesh was released on Napalm Records .

During the 2013 European tour, bassist Sławomir "Mortifier" Kusterka died on the night of April 5th due to a cardiac arrhythmia.

style

The band plays a mixture of death and black metal, with some electronic elements being interspersed. The fast, complex drumming is particularly characteristic, with blast beats that are particularly typical of the genre . The music is comparable to the works of the band Behemoth .
