Speed Kill Hate , often also / Speed \ Kill / Hate \ , is a speed metal band founded in New York in 2002 by Overkill band members Dave Linsk ( guitar ), Derek Tailer ( bass ) and Tim Mallare ( drums ) .
biography
After the band found a suitable singer in Mario Frasca (formerly Anger On Anger ), they went straight to the studios to record their debut.
Since they were well known for their participation in the band Overkill , it wasn't long before the label Listenable Records became aware of Speed Kill Hate. In order to be able to release the album in America, they signed a contract with Escapi Music . Finally, in 2004, their debut album Acts Of Insanity was released in America and they shot the first music video for the song Face the pain under the direction of Anthony M. Bongiovi .
In Europe and Asia, the album was released on February 17, 2005 under Listenable Records.
In May and June 2006 they performed on the "Metal Crusaders" tour in North America alongside bands such as u. a. Cataclysm on. During the tour, bassist Derek Tailer withdrew for "personal reasons" and James MacDonough, the ex-bassist of Megadeth and Iced Earth , stepped in for the rest of the time.
After a long tour through America, the band separated from singer Mario Frasca in 2006. Shortly thereafter, it was also announced that both bassist Derek Tailer and drummer Tim Mallare were leaving. Why three members left the band within a very short time was never officially announced.
In 2006 Bob Barnak was introduced as the new singer and guitarist, Dave "Bizz" Bizzigotti as the new bassist and Tony Ochoa as the new drummer.
style
Speed Kill Hate's music can be categorized very well into Thrash Metal and Speed Metal .
Musically the songs hardly remind of Overkill, the guitar riffs are still typical of Thrash Metal.
Former singer Mario Frasca often used death metal- typical growls and avoided clear vocals.

According to guitarist Dave Linsk, the only founding member who is currently still in the band, the word “speed” in the band name “Speed Kill Hate” comes from the genre of music they play, namely speed metal .
