Dereje Nedi

Dereje Nedi (born January 13, 1954 ) is a former Ethiopian marathon runner .

In 1978 and 1987 he won silver in the Pan-African Games marathon . At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, he was seventh.

In 1984 he won the Frankfurt Marathon and ran the Moscow Marathon with 2:10:32 at the same time as a personal record and the fastest time on Russian soil to date.

In 1985 he won bronze at the African championships and gold in 1988. In 1989 he finished second in the IAAF World Cup marathon and the Berlin marathon .
