Derek Clarke (athlete)
Derek Clarke ( Derek Stanley Clarke; born May 11, 1937 , † June 7, 1997 ) was a British decathlete .
In 1966 he was starting fifth for England at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston . At the European Athletics Championships in Belgrade , he came in 18th place.
In 1964 and 1966 (with his personal best of 6864 points) he became English champion.
