Derek Ryan (born August 24, 1983 in Garryhill , County Carlow , Ireland ) is an Irish pop and country singer.

Life

At the age of 17 he became a member of the Irish boy band D-Side , with which he stayed for 5 years. He has been solo since 2006.

His famous songs include It's Friday , Bendigo , Hold On to Your Hat, and Patsy Fagan . He won several awards such as "Entertainer of the Year", "Album of the Year" and "Best Live Performer".
