Desafío Español
Desafío Español is a Spanish America's Cup syndicate.
With a budget of 60 million euros, the team was in the upper midfield at the 32nd America's Cup . It was considered the only team that would have a chance against the four big teams ( Team New Zealand , Alinghi , Luna Rossa , BMW Oracle Racing ). In fact, the team fully met the demands with a good Louis Vuitton Cup (including a win against BMW Oracle) and only failed in the semi-finals of the Louis Vuitton Cup with 5: 2 against Team New Zealand.
