Design Forum Vienna
The designforum Wien , based in the MuseumsQuartier Wien , was founded in 2005 as an association for the promotion of Austrian design by designaustria together with the Austrian Design Foundation. It is part of desigforen Austria and houses the office of designaustria - knowledge center & interest group for design in Austria.

Since its opening, the designforum Wien has organized its own exhibitions, international guest exhibitions and shows the Austrian State Prize for Design and the Joseph Binder Award bi-annual . The typographical society and numerous design training institutions organize series of lectures and networking events in Austria's design forums.
Design forums Austria
With exhibitions, lectures, symposia, competitions and events, the Austrian design forums are dedicated to conveying design as an important branch of the creative industry and a strategy for economic success. The services of national and international designers are presented in the design forums and act as competence, service and communication centers. With the founding of the designforum Vorarlberg (2008), the designforum Steiermark (2010) and the designforum Salzburg (2014), the Austrian designforums provide service and mediation work in the federal states.
