Design award from the state capital Munich
The City of Munich's Design Prize is awarded every three years for the outstanding oeuvre of Munich designers and teams. All areas of design are taken into account: furniture, jewelry, lighting, font and graphic design. First and foremost, an artistic work or an artistic personality should be honored. In exceptional cases, personalities can also be honored who have made special achievements in science and teaching and for art education. The prize is endowed with 10,000 euros.
A commission, which is newly convened every two years by the Munich City Council and consists of specialist jurors and members of the City Council, has the right to make proposals .
The design prize is awarded alternately with the architecture prize and the art prize of the state capital of Munich.
