Desktop Tower Defense is a Flash-based browser game from the tower defense genre. It was first presented to the public by Paul Preece in March 2007. The game had been played more than 15 million times by July 2007. This made it one of the top 10 webware in 2007. Desktop Tower Defense has an interface in German , English , Spanish , French or Italian .

The game generates annual sales in the six-figure range and won the first Gleemie Award at the Independent Games Festival in 2008 .
