The Desná is a left tributary of the Loučná in the Czech Republic.

It rises in the Saar mountains north of the settlements Svatá Kateřina and Hatě in the Borová municipality from several sources at an altitude of 690 m.

At Kamenné Sedlíště the stream changes its direction from north to northeast. The towns of Budislav , Poříčí , Desná , Horní Újezd , Dolní Újezd and Osík are located along the Desná .

The Desná flows around the town of Litomyšl one kilometer to the west and changes its direction to the northwest. Between Nová Sídla and Řídký it flows after 27 kilometers at an altitude of 293 m above sea level. M. in the Loučná.
