Destin Sandlin (* 1981 ) is a for his YouTube -Videoserie Smarter Every Day (English for Everyday smarter ) famous American engineer .

His channel advertises with over eight million subscribers and almost 800 million views. In spring 2016, he was selected as one of three US YouTube channel operators for one-on-one interviews with the then US President Barack Obama , sponsored by Google .

On April 28, 2016 launched a second Sandlin YouTube channel called The Sound Traveler (English for the sound passengers ) in which he backed with a binaural sound track GoPro -Video footage of various locations around the world published.

On February 10, 2017, he started a podcast with No Dumb Questions (English for no stupid questions ) . In it, he talks to his friend Matt Whitman on various topics, for example from culture and society.

Sandlin studied mechanical engineering at the University of Alabamas , and graduated with a Bachelor of Science . There he was also awarded as a student. He is also graduating from the University of Alabamas in Huntsville with a degree in aerospace engineering. He works as a missile flight test engineer at Redstone Arsenal . and lives in Huntsville, Alabama. Destin is married with four children and is a practicing Christian . According to his grandfather, he owes his own development for his love of science and his worldview. Destin Sandlin has been supporting the Not Forgotten charity for orphaned boys in Peru since 2012 .
