Detlef Wehnert

Detlef Wehnert (born August 21, 1943 in Radebeul ) is a German politician ( PDS ). From 1990 to 1999 he was a member of the state parliament of Saxony .

Wehnert attended elementary school until 1957 and then did an apprenticeship as a farmer until 1959. Until 1964 he then attended the adult education center and became a member of the Dresden Agriculture Council. He then completed a degree in agricultural engineering by 1971, and in 1980 he became a specialist economist. In 1986 he received his degree in agricultural engineering from the Humboldt University in Berlin. Then he was head of the agriculture department at the Dresden District Council until 1988. From October 1990 to 1999 he was a member of the state parliament of Saxony, where he was the parliamentary manager of the Left List / PDS parliamentary group.
