Under Deuteranopie (from ancient Greek δεύτερος deuteros , German , the second ' , according to Helmholtz second receptor of the trichromatic visual apparatus) is the green blindness and deuteranomaly understood the green visual impairment. It is a genetically caused color ametropia in which the cones are the opsin for the perception of greenfor red included. People with deuteranopia therefore only have two instead of three different types of cones. In men, about 1% of deuteranopia and 5% of deuteranomaly are affected, in women 0.01% of deuteranopia and 0.35% of deuteranomaly. In the short-wave range you see (like those with healthy colors) a deep blue, in the medium-wave range gray (neutral point at 498 nm), in the long-wave range a deep yellow.
