Georg Zingel
Georg Zingel (* 1428 in Schlierstadt ; † April 26, 1508 in Ingolstadt ) was an important Catholic theologian.
Georg Zingel studied at the University of Vienna and obtained a master's degree and a doctorate in theology. He was a professor in Vienna and Ingolstadt. From 1474 he was a professor at the University of Ingolstadt . In 1475 he was first dean of the theological faculty. He held the dean's office thirty-one more times. He was also four times rector and vice-chancellor of the university. He was considered one of the most outstanding theologians on the eve of the Reformation .
