German-South American Bank
The German-South American Bank AG was a German bank for trade with South America , whose headquarters were in Berlin . It was founded in 1906 by Dresdner Bank , A. Schaaffhausen'schen Bankverein and Darmstädter und Nationalbank . There were further branches in Hamburg, Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay, Chile and Spain.
In 1996 the German-South American Bank was renamed Dresdner Bank Latin America AG. At the time it had total assets of EUR 11.4 billion and employed around 1,100 people.
