The Deutsche Bahn Gleisbau GmbH (DBG) was a construction company of the DB Bahnbau GmbH . The company was founded in 1991 . It had around 560 employees spread across the Duisburg and Augsburg locations . Her area of responsibility included all standard and special work in the track superstructure . With effect from January 1, 2010, it was merged with the DB Bahnbau Group .
Vehicles used
The track construction machines were the core of the vehicle fleet . The fleet here comprised:
- Two tamping machines and two ballast leveling machines each
- four track construction cranes with loads between 15 and 125 tons
- two EM-SAT track survey vehicles
- several heavy subcompact of types Klv 53 , Klv 54 , GAF100 and Robel Bamowag
The DBG kept numerous diesel locomotives available for transporting construction machinery and supplying construction sites as well as for shunting services. In detail it was about
- a class 203 locomotive (203 304)
- two locomotives each of the 212 and 213 series (212 097, 212 306, 213 332, 213 336)
- three class 218 locomotives (218 287, 304 and 391)
- a total of six type Köf III small locomotives (332 013, 062, 182 and 259, 333 145 and 335 220)
