history

In 1955, the roasters and coffee importers Max Herz , Walther Jacobs , Rolf Schopf and Bernhard Rothfos (* 1898 in St. Magnus; † 1998 in Hamburg) got together to enable their own plants to use the complex and expensive process of coffee extraction (alongside Nestlé and Maxwell House ) to operate together. This is how Deutsche Extrakt Kaffee was founded. In 1956 Jan Beernd Rothfos took over its management and in 1981 founded the Kord to coordinate the European companies, which also includes the DEK. In 2007 the Kord group was renamed the Cafea group.

Products

The product range includes soluble coffees in all forms of production ( spray-dried , agglomerated , freeze-dried , decaffeinated ), soluble coffee beverages such as cappuccino , milk and iced coffee and coffee substitutes such as grain coffees in various compositions.
