Alexander Aschauer (born March 14, 1992 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player on the position of a striker.
Career
Alexander began his career in the youth of SC Groß-Enzersdorf, where he played from March 1998. In January 2001, the striker moved to the youth department of Wiener Austria . On March 28, 2008 he made his professional football debut against DSV Leoben for the Austria Amateurs and played the full 90 minutes. In July 2008 he decided to move to Red Bull Salzburg .
In Salzburg he trained with the 2nd team, but at the beginning mostly had to hunt for goals for the AKA U-19 team. On the first day of the 2008/09 season, Aschauer made his second division debut for Salzburg against SKN St. Pölten . During the winter break of 2009/10, Aschauer received a professional contract with Salzburg at the age of 17 and has been part of the first team since then. After the Juniors had to relegate to the Regionalliga West , he was also used more often in the second team. On October 2, 2010 in the game against SC Bregenz , he managed his first hat trick and in the first small “Salzburg Derby” in the Red Bull Arena against violette Austria , he celebrated his first double in front of 5,500 spectators.
Aschauer ended the first half of the 2010/11 season in the Regionalliga West with ten goals in 16 games. That earned him the move to the second team at VfB Stuttgart in January 2011 . VfB signed Aschauer on loan for a year and a half until the summer of 2012 and was able to tie the player to the club for the long term with a purchase option. The Stuttgart, however, decided not to take the option.
For the 2012/13 season, Aschauer was awarded to Wacker Burghausen for a year , but returned to Salzburg for the winter break and was awarded to the Salzburg farm team, the Austrian regional league club FC Liefering .
On September 2, 2013, his contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg was terminated by mutual agreement, whereupon Aschauer moved to First Vienna FC and the next season change to SC Austria Lustenau .
For the 2016/17 season he moved to the German third division club SG Sonnenhof Großaspach , where he received a contract valid until June 2019. After a broken leg in November 2017, he was no longer used for the remainder of the season and terminated his contract with Großaspach at the end of the 2017/18 season.
He then moved to the regional league team FSV Frankfurt for the 2018/19 season , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2019. For the 2019/20 season he moved to the sixth class 1. FC Normannia Gmünd .
