The German Society for Arteriosclerosis Research eV (DGAF) based in Munich is a scientific and medical society . Its purpose is to promote science in the field of arteriosclerosis and pursues the goal of bringing together the expertise of the theoretical subjects with the clinical problems.

The association is a co-organizer of the German Atherosclerosis Congress. It awards the WH Hauss Prize and the Schönheimer Medal to deserving scientists in their field.
