The German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine , DEGUM for short, with its headquarters in Hamburg and offices in Bonn and Berlin, is one of the most important ultrasound associations in the world with around 9100 members. The association is a member of the Working Group of Scientific Medical Societies .

Task

The interests of doctors as well as users from the technical environment and manufacturers of ultrasound devices are represented. Research projects are supported and numerous advanced training courses are carried out.

Qualifications

Among other things, the association ensures the qualification of doctors in the field of ultrasound diagnostics. To this end, it offers comprehensive courses and a three-stage certification.
The respective certifications of all doctors in Germany are publicly available on the homepage.

Member magazines

The magazine ultrasound in medicine - European Journal of Ultrasound appears every two months.
