Cycle Stadium Cologne (2017)

The 134th German Track Cycling Championships were planned from July 1 to July 5, 2020 on the Albert Richter Bahn in the Cologne Cycle Stadium .

This is the second time since 1996 that title fights will take place in the Cologne bicycle stadium. It should also be the last championships before the renovation of the stadium, which will then receive a complete roof and new functional rooms and will be used as a federal base. The original wooden track is retained. At the start there should be athletes from the elite, U19 and U17 classes.

The organizer is the state association of North Rhine-Westphalia of the Federation of German Cyclists (BDR) with the support of the city of Cologne and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia as part of the “Sportland NRW” initiative.

In April 2020, the BDR announced that the championships would be postponed to a later, as yet unknown date due to the corona pandemic .
