The 133rd German Track Cycling Championships were held from July 31 to August 4, 2019 in the Berlin Velodrom . The championships took place as part of the so-called “ Finals ”, the simultaneous German championships of nine associations that were held for the first time. As part of the “Finals”, the German railway championships were broadcast live on public television for the first time .
255 athletes were registered for the 48 decisions in the elite, juniors and youth classes.
The most successful (cross-gender) athlete in the championships was the engineer Franziska Brauße , who won three gold medals, one silver and one bronze, in the endurance category , while her partner in the two-man team , Lea Lin Teutenberg , won two gold medals. In the women's short-term category, Emma Hinze won two gold and two silver medals, while Lea Sophie Friedrich won two titles in her first championships in the elite - in sprint and keirin - and also one silver and one silver.
In the men's endurance category, Theo Reinhardt shone with three gold and one silver, Felix Groß with two gold and one silver. In the short-term disciplines, Marc Jurczyk won three gold medals and one silver medal, while Maximilian Dörnbach won four medals, two gold, one silver and one bronze.
The German championships in the omnium of the elite and junior class are to be held from December 21 to 22, 2019 in the Oderlandhalle in Frankfurt (Oder) .
