Julien Jäger (born April 10, 2001 in Offenbach am Main ) is a German track cyclist who specializes in short-term disciplines.

Athletic career

In 2017 Julien Jäger became German youth champion in the Keirin and the following year with Justin Stöckert and Julian Kühn German junior champion in the team sprint . At the Junior European Championships he won the Keirin and Team Sprint titles (with Domenic Kruse and Laurin Drescher ); in the sprint he won silver. At the Junior World Championships that took place shortly afterwards in Frankfurt (Oder) , Jäger was fourth in the sprint and team sprint (with Drescher and Kruse) and sixth in Keirin and 1000-meter time trials .

At the sixth round of the 2019/20 Track Cycling World Cup in Milton , Canada , Jäger started in the sprint.

family

Julien Jäger's parents are the former speed skater Manuela Jäger and the former track cyclist Sascha Jäger (now a junior sprint trainer in the Thuringian Cycling Association). His sister Lara-Sophie, who is three years younger than him, is also active as a cyclist.
