Katharina Hechler (born March 10, 2000 in Speyer ) is a German cyclist .

Athletic career

Katharina Hechler has been a cyclist since 2009. In 2015 and 2016 she became German youth champion in the Omnium , and in 2016 she also won the title in the road race . In 2018, Hechler achieved her first international successes when she won bronze in the scratch at the Junior World Championships and at European level with Ricarda Bauernfeind bronze in the two-man team competition for juniors. At the German track championships in the same year, she was junior champion in the points race and with Bauernfeind in the Madison. On the road, she took second place in the German junior women's road championship. In 2019 she was third in the two-man team driving of the elite at the German championship with Bauernfeind.

In 2020 Katharina Hechler received a contract for the Continental Team Cogeas-Mettler . In the same year she was nominated for the 2020 Elite Rail World Championships in Berlin .
