The German School Kuala Lumpur (DSKL) is one of the Central Agency for Schools Abroad funded (NDE) German school abroad . It is a PASCH school.

Foundation and orientation

It was founded in 1979 and is the only one in Malaysia.

The primary goal of the DSKL is to enable its students to receive a school education that is geared towards German educational goals and German school-leaving qualifications. In addition, the students should acquire intercultural experience by familiarizing themselves with the history, culture and everyday life of the host country Malaysia.

After four years of primary school, there is the one-year orientation level, the lower secondary level (grades 6 to 9), the introductory phase (grade 10) and finally the two-year upper secondary level. At the German school, students can acquire the following school-leaving qualifications: the German International Abitur (DIA) in grade 12, secondary school leaving certificate / secondary school leaving certificate in grade 10 and secondary school leaving certificate in grade 9.

Dorm

There is a supervised student dormitory near the school for guest students from Germany or for children whose families do not live in the greater Kuala Lumpur area.
