German People's Newspaper (1866)

The Deutsche Volkszeitung was a newspaper published in Hanover that , according to an overview of Hannoversche daily newspapers in the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Library, first appeared on October 1, 1866. It was the press organ of the German-Hanoverian Party (DHP), which was aimed at restoring independence after the annexation of the Kingdom of Hanover by Prussia . The Deutsche Volkszeitung was continued by the Hannoversche Landeszeitung .
