The German Advertising Science Society (DWG) is a non-profit association based in Cologne. He is himself a member of the Central Association of the German Advertising Industry . Founded in 1919, the association has set itself the task of building a bridge between science and practice in the field of brand management and market communication. Various event formats are held for this purpose, including the annual scientific conference. The members are accordingly made up of scientists and practitioners. The association is also the publisher of the scientific journal Transfer - Werbeforschung & Praxis .

The association was founded in 1919. After its dissolution, it was re-established in 1975.
