H. Dieter Dahlhoff is a German university professor for business administration at the University of Kassel .

Life

H. Dieter Dahlhoff studied business administration and psychology at the University of Münster . He then worked as a marketing trainee and junior product manager for Persil at Henkel . He then worked as an assistant to Heribert Meffert at the Institute for Marketing at the University of Münster and carried out his doctorate. He gained further marketing experience in various top management positions in international marketing, at agencies, media and branded companies. At Team / BBDO he was a member of the management team; At General Motors / Adam Opel AG , as a long-time marketing and sales director, he developed the company's successful reorientation towards the market; He was managing director for SAT1 Satellite TV GmbH and as brand director as well as general representative and member of the group management of Volkswagen AG he was responsible for the worldwide marketing of the Volkswagen group and the entire operational marketing of the Volkswagen brand. As Global Head Corporate Communications Deutsche Bank (with reporting line to the Board Spokesman) he was responsible for the successful reorganization of the areas of Internal Communications, e-Communications and Public Relations as interim manager.

Teaching

H. Dieter Dahlhoff has held the SVI endowed chair for communication and media management in the economics department at the University of Kassel since the 2006 summer semester. He is active in the DMCC-Dialog Marketing Competence Center, where he particularly represents the aspects of automotive, financial and cultural management.

He is honorary professor for automotive management and works in the master's program “Automotive Management” for the modules “Distribution Channels” and “Dealership Management” at the AIM Automotive Institute for Management of the EBS Business School in Oestrich-Winkel. He also taught a. a. at Danube University Krems International Management and taught at the universities of Münster, TUM Technical University of Münster, IMEDE Lausanne and the University of St. Gallen.

Research fields

H. Dieter Dahlhoff's research fields are the areas of higher-level market-oriented management, sales management, market and corporate communication as well as their efficient integration with special consideration of the dialogue perspective and relationship management. He focuses on the branches of the automotive and media industry and the financial sector as well as more recently on the business aspects of contemporary art.

Awards

For his practical work, he received six Effies (gold) awards for efficient advertising, the gold medal of the Art Directors Club and was named “Marketing Man of the Year” in 1990.

  • H. Dieter Dahlhoff is and was a member of various juries and advisory boards (including the "German Marketing Association for the German Marketing Prize"; the "German Sponsoring Prize" and the "EFFIE Jury of the GWA").
  • Since 2009 he has been the elected president of DWG, Deutsche Werbewwissenschaftliche Gesellschaft e. V.
  • At the Gelsenkirchen / Recklinghausen University of Applied Sciences, he founded the CAR Institute - Center of Automotive Research as director .
  • He founded the "ICW - International Center for Advertising and Media Research" (Hamburg).
  • He is the founder of the consulting company DDC Management Consultants GmbH (Hamburg).
  • As a coach, he supported well-known managers and entrepreneurs in international companies.
  • Dahlhoff is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Louisenlund Foundation .
