publishing company

The magazine appeared until 2008 in the " Arbeitsrecht im Betrieb Verlagsgesellschaft mbH " (abbreviated AiB Verlag ) and since the merger of the publishers in 2009 in the Bund-Verlag, Frankfurt a. M. The editorial office is based in Cologne.

development

The employer must bear the costs that arise from the work of the works council. The case law has ruled several times that this also includes the costs of the AiB. Most recently, the BAG decided by resolution that the AiB as a trade journal is a necessary tool for works council work despite internet access.

Since the end of 2005, subscribers have received the AiBplus supplement eight times a year - more knowledge for works councils , which contains company reports and interviews on works council work. There is also an information service about labor law decisions and their practical significance for works council work, which appears every fortnight as an e-mail and online . Subscribers can access abstracts and background information on the topics of the print edition on the magazine's website. In addition, working materials and templates for works council work are provided. Since April 2009, the journal's subscribers have also had online access to the current issue of the journal. In November 2010, an online archive with all articles since January 2006 was activated for subscribers in full text. The magazine has been appearing in a new editorial guise since 2014 and there will be an online extension from July 21st, which will be called AiB-Assist.

German works council award

Under the patronage of the Federal Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, the magazine has been awarding the German Works Council Prize annually since 2009 , which is associated with recognition and appreciation of the work of works councils for the interests of employees.
