German floodlight cup
The German Floodlight Cup was a cup competition held parallel to the DFB Cup in 1957 and 1958 , in which the games were played exclusively with the then new type of floodlights .
regulate
The games were played under floodlights in 90-minute home and return matches. The team with the most goals scored in both games advanced to the next round. If the same number of goals were scored by the two teams in the two games, the corner ratio , a uniqueness in German football, was used to help.
history
In 1957 the trophy was donated by the then president of Offenbacher Kickers . Eight top division clubs , whose stadiums had floodlights, were supposed to play the trophy among themselves.
