The German Fruit Trade Association (DFHV) is a registered association based in Bonn . It was created at the beginning of January 2000 through the merger of the Central Association of German Fruit Import and Wholesale eV (ZVF, founded in 1948) and the Association of Hanseatic Fruit Import and Wholesale eV (BdV, founded 1947). When the new club was founded, the members of the previous clubs were taken over.

As the national umbrella organization in the industry, the association represents the interests of companies from all trade areas in the fruit and vegetable sector. The association represents the direct marketing, import and export, as well as wholesale and retail companies. The vast majority of all sales of fresh fruit and vegetables in Germany are generated by the member companies.

In addition to individual companies, associations are also represented:

  • Fruchthandelsverband Nord eV, Stade
  • Fruchthof Berlin Verwaltungsgenossenschaft eG, Berlin
  • Baden-Württemberg State Association of Fruit Importers and Wholesalers, Stuttgart
  • Association of Bavarian Fruit Imports and Wholesalers, Munich

The association is entered in the public list for the registration of associations and their representatives .
