The German Association for Nudist Culture (DFK) eV sees itself as representing the interests of organized supporters of nudist culture (FKK). The DFK is a member of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) as an association with special tasks. In addition, it represents its members at the international level in the International Naturist Federation (INF), which also sees itself as representing the interests of non-organized naturists.

history

The DFK was founded on November 6, 1949 as the umbrella organization for the then three western occupation zones . It was entered in the register of associations in 1953 at the Hanover District Court.

In 1953, the DFK honored one of the pioneers of the nudist movement, Richard Ungewitter , with an honorary membership, regardless of the allegations against him of ethnic and anti-Semitic activities. In 1964, on the other hand, Adolf Koch , the socialist pioneer of nudism in the Weimar Republic , was excluded from the association because he was too offensive in public relations with a sexual reform program.

In 2007 the DFK threatened to leave the INF. Before that he had the u. a. Use of membership fees criticized. After a personal discussion between the association heads on August 18, 2007, the INF DFK remains one of the major net contributors.

In 2009 the 60th anniversary of the DFK took place in Dresden.

By far the most extensive collection on the historical and current situation of nudism, the "International Nudist Library" (formerly Damm - Baunatal Collection), is located in the Lower Saxony Institute for Sports History in Hanover.

youth

The fkk-jugend eV is organized like the DFK . The independent association is the DFK's youth organization by contract and represents - in addition to its direct members - the interests of the approximately 8,000 children and young people in the DFK associations. The fkk-jugend eV has its roots in the youth movement .

organization

The DFK has an office in Langenhagen.

In addition to President Wilfried Blaschke, the Presidium (as of 2019) includes three Vice-Presidents (Michaela Toepper - Public Relations, Edgar Nesseler - Finance, Rüdiger Feddern - Sport), as well as the federal youth chairwoman of fkk-jugend, Martina Vavra.
