German Volkssportverband

The non-profit Deutscher Volkssportverband e. V. (DVV) is an amalgamation of over 1000 clubs to promote popular sport . It was entered in the register of associations at the Altötting District Court in 1974. Today the seat is in Traunstein . The DVV is a member of the Internationale Volkssportverband e. V.

An end, the member associations in the implementation of popular sports events without competitive sport to support character. The population should be encouraged to take part in casual sporting activities in order to maintain their health .

The association promotes popular sport in the areas of hiking , cycling , ski hiking , swimming and inline skating . One focus is on hiking.

In the hiking section, circular courses with a length of 5 km, 10 km and 20 km are offered on hiking days, occasionally also 30 km, 42 km ( marathon ) and 50 km (march). In addition, circular and long-distance hiking trails are offered as permanent offers.

The events of the DVV are recognized for the participation and kilometer evaluation of the international national sports badge.
