The Deutsche Aktieninstitut e. V. is an association for companies and institutions that are active on the German capital market . It was founded in 1953 as a working group to promote the share . Since 2003 , the Deutsche Aktieninstitut has been representing - in the successor to the dissolved Finanzplatz e. V. - the interests of the entire financial center Germany . The Deutsche Aktieninstitut is based in Frankfurt am Main and has offices in Brussels and Berlin .
aims
The aim of the Deutsches Aktieninstitut is to create framework conditions for efficient capital markets, to promote the share as a financing and investment instrument in Germany and to strengthen Germany's position as a location for financial services in international competition.
Fields of work
The Deutsches Aktieninstitut actively accompanies legislative proposals at German and international level. The work concentrates on the four thematic focal points of the primary market , secondary market , corporate governance and compliance as well as economic education. These include, for example, European directives and ordinances (e.g. market infrastructure ordinance and financial market guideline ), Europa AG , financial market promotion laws , the AMLA and registered shares .
Deutsche Aktieninstitut publishes papers on various aspects of the capital market, organizes seminars and statistics for issuers and the interested public.
Deutsches Aktieninstitut has been the office of the Government Commission on the German Corporate Governance Code since 2013 and supports the Government Commission in its work.
The Deutsches Aktieninstitut annually honors the best academic theses that deal with the promotion of shares as a form of investment or corporate finance instrument with the university award.

Hans-Ulrich Engel has been President since May 2017. Christine Bortenlänger has been the executive board member since September 2012 . She is the successor to Rüdiger von Rosen .
Advisory Boards
Scientific Advisory Board
The scientific advisory board, which includes renowned university lecturers in economics and law, advises the Deutsches Aktieninstitut on fundamental issues relating to the capital market regime and decides on the award of the Deutsches Aktieninstitut's university prize.
Advisory Board for Economic Education
The Advisory Board for Economic Education advises the Deutsche Aktieninstitut on educational policy issues, especially with regard to the introduction of a school subject economics in all general schools.
