Christine Bortenlänger (born November 17, 1966 in Munich ) is a German manager . Since September 1, 2012, she has been managing director of the Deutsche Aktieninstitut in Frankfurt am Main . From 2000 to 2012 she was a board member of Bayerische Börse AG and managing director of the Munich Stock Exchange .

Live and act

After graduating from high school in Tegernsee, Christiane Bortenlänger completed a banking apprenticeship at Bayerische Vereinsbank . She then studied business administration at the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich (LMU) with a focus on banking management and systems research . From 1994 to 1996 she was a research assistant at Arnold Picot's chair at the Institute for Organization at LMU Munich. She led an international research project for the German Research Foundation on the topic of "Electronic Markets". In 1996 he completed his doctorate on the subject of "Exchange automation - efficiency potential and enforceability".

From 1996 to 1997 Bortenlänger worked as a project manager for electronic business networking / electronic commerce at Bayerische Landesbank in Munich. From 1997 to 1998 she was a senior consultant and project manager for strategy and organizational projects in the financial services sector at the management consultancy Dr. Seebauer & Partner in Munich. In 1998 Bortenlänger joined the Munich public exchange as deputy managing director, where she was responsible for marketing and public relations. From 2000 to the end of June 2012 she was managing director of the Munich Stock Exchange and board member of Bayerische Börse AG with the departments of marketing and sales, public relations and press work, business development, organization and IT.

Bortenlänger is married and lives with her family in Munich.

Memberships

Bortenlänger is a member of the supervisory boards of Covestro , MTU Aero Engines, OSRAM and TÜV Süd . She was the spokesperson for the Finanzplatz München Initiative (fpmi) and a member of the Senate of the German National Foundation. She is a participant and member of the board of the Baden-Baden Entrepreneur Talks, a member of the Exchange Council of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and a member of the executive committee of the Bavarian Economic Advisory Council.
