The German Institute for Quality Promotion eV (DIQ) based in Saarbrücken was founded in 2010. The institute , which develops concepts and strategies for applied quality promotion and quality assurance in interdisciplinary cooperation with its members and implements them in a practical way.
The purpose and goals are to promote quality assurance in science, industry, business and the service sector as well as to ensure fair competition.
Membership is open to natural and legal persons, business enterprises and associations as well as other scientific institutes, universities , university institutes, associations and organizations .
Affiliated is DIQ Zert GmbH with headquarters in the same place. This certifies users of quality management systems according to DIN EN ISO 9001: 2015.
