The German Broadcasting Museum is a former museum, its seat was Berlin.

In Germany there were up to the postal privatization a large number of museums with different focuses on topics of wireless communications radio and other radio services. Most of these were sponsored by the formerly state-run “ Deutsche Bundespost ”. When these museums were privatized, the Deutsche Museumstiftung Post und Telekommunikation passed on to them. Some radio museums were closed completely, reorganized as communication museums or affiliated to other federal and state museums. The reorganization process is currently (2015) not yet completed.

Major parts of the collections of the closed German Broadcasting Museum in Berlin are to be transferred to the Mannheim Technoseum .

From 1967 to 1997 the museum was located in the former transmitter building at the Berlin radio tower . In addition to the permanent exhibition “50 Years of German Broadcasting”, there were various special exhibitions, for example

The collection first moved to Berlin-Adlershof and in 2000 on to Potsdam-Babelsberg in Brandenburg . Since 2007, the museum has also been exhibiting at the International Radio Exhibition (IFA) in Berlin. Between 2007 and 2010 around 60,000 visitors were counted on the exhibition stand. In addition, some museum pieces can be viewed in showcases next to the main entrance of the German Broadcasting Archive and in the building of Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg in Berlin's Masurenallee by appointment by telephone . In 2010 the website of the museum was redesigned. Among other things, an extensive online exhibition with over 1,400 exhibits can be seen. Detailed photos and technical data are shown for each device, and circuit diagrams for members. The history of broadcasting and radio exhibitions is extensively described online.

The operating association of the museum in Potsdam with the name Deutsches Rundfunk-Museum eV disbanded in June 2013 and is in liquidation until 2014. The website is offline.
