Devean Jamar George (born August 29, 1977 in Minneapolis ) is a retired American professional basketball player. He played as a small forward, but was also able to play as a shooting guard due to his athleticism.

He visited the Benilde-St. Margaret's High School in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. During his college basketball career at Augsburg College, he was elected twice (1997-98 and 1998-99) as the MVP of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

In the 1999 NBA Draft, he was selected 23rd by the LA Lakers. Due to his defensive qualities and his three-point throws, he was an important player in the Lakers, with whom he won the NBA championship three times (2000-2002).

In 2006 he joined the Dallas Mavericks as a free agent. In July 2009 he was swapped with Antoine Wright for Shawn Marion to the Toronto Raptors, passed on from these to Marco Bellinelli to the Golden State Warriors in the same month. There he played until the end of the season and then ended his NBA career.
