Devil's Quoit

Devil's Quoit (also called Devil's Coyt or Arthur's Quoit ) is a portal tomb in the hamlet of Quoit near St Columb Major in Cornwall , England , which was largely destroyed in 1870 .

Only the huge capstone of a chamber is preserved. The quoit was destroyed in 1870. The capstone was preserved. The hamlet of Quoit derives its name from the "Devil's Quoit". The dolmen was still standing in 1840. It partially collapsed between 1840 and 1850. The stones were still there until the 20th century, but were then cut up or buried.

About two kilometers away is the Iron Age hill fort on Dinas Island .
