The Di Blasi R7 is a foldable moped that can be quickly and easily folded up for easier transport.
General
Di Blasi Francofonte was founded in 1973 by Rosario Di Blasi in Italy.
The Di Blasi has numerous possible uses, such as an auxiliary vehicle for campers, to be taken on board the ship, in the plane or in the car, or as a service vehicle for handing over or dropping off rental cars. In the Italian police, for example, the Di Blasi is carried in helicopters. In Germany it was advertised as “the smallest, lightest, but fastest folding motorbike in the suitcase format”. Depending on the legal framework, it was or will be manufactured and approved in versions with top speeds of 35 to 50 km / h.
Although the Di Blasi in early approvals and operating instructions and brochures as " scooter " or " Faltmoped is called" the term "Klappmokick" is technically correct because it is a moped without pedals and without the roller typical trapdoor with Kickstarter is that is to be driven with the knee on the tank.
Model history
From 1974 to 1979 the model R2 was built (trade name Paperino). This was equipped with a single-cylinder two-stroke engine from Morini:

Dimensions: ready to drive 1180 × 850 × 570 mm, folded - 700 × 550 × 300 mm
Since 1979, the R7 model has been built in various sub-variants, which has a self-built engine and a continuously variable, automatic V-belt transmission and therefore does not require gear shifting.

Empty weight: approx. 32 kg
Tank volume: 3 liters, range: 105–120 km / full tank, fuel consumption: 2.5–2.85 l / 100 km

Engine: single-cylinder two-stroke engine, displacement: 49.9 cm³, maximum power: 0.86 kW at 4000 rpm
