The Diamond Tower is a construction project for a skyscraper in Jeddah , Saudi Arabia . Work on the skyscraper began in 2011 and should be completed in 2017 according to previous plans. In November 2014, however, the work was temporarily suspended for economic reasons.

The helical structure, the axis of which rotates twice around itself and then closes with a pointed construction, is to reach a height of 432 meters. On the roof, but below the peaks, there is also a glass construction in the form of a diamond , which gives the building its name. With its height, it would be one of the tallest buildings in the world and when completed it would be the second tallest skyscraper in the country after the Mecca Royal Clock Tower Hotel . The building is to be used exclusively for apartments that are spread over 93 floors. Thus the Diamond Tower would also be one of the tallest residential buildings in the world.
