Diane Broeckhoven

Diane Broeckhoven (born March 4, 1946 in Antwerp ) is a Flemish author and journalist .

Broeckhoven grew up in Antwerp. From 1967 she worked for the newspaper De Standaard . In 1970 she went to Haarlem in the Netherlands , where she worked as a freelance journalist and author. In 2000 she returned to her hometown.

Her works primarily include books for young people , some of which have taken up topics that were previously rather unusual for this genre, such as death and illness, but also the adoption of children from the “ Third World ”. In addition to these books for young people, she has also written books for adults. The best known of them is A Day with Mr. Jules .
