Did I Remember is a song from the melodrama Suzy , which was composed by Walter Donaldson and provided with text by Harold Adamson . At the Academy Awards in 1937 it was nominated for an Oscar in the "Best Song" category, but had to admit defeat to The Way You Look Tonight from the film musical Swing Time , composed by Jerome Kern and written by Dorothy Fields .
In the film Suzy , the song was sung by the lead actress Jean Harlow and satirized by the other lead actor Cary Grant .
Did I Remember was also featured in the compilation film That's Never Again - That's Entertainment (1974) and found its way into Woody Allen's Celebrity - Schön. Rich. Famous. (1998) and an episode of the American television series Livshunger (2002).
